New York City: 1 Day Adventure

Before moving home I had applied to be a flight attendant. Months later I heard back which eventually lead to an FtF with the company. At this time I had a job and got promoted to management. With tickets booked and a  canceled interview, I had a day to explore NYC. The first thing I did was drop off my bags at the hostel at 6 am. Then off to get coffee and watch the sunrise over the Statue of Liberty. New York City is massive I mainly stayed in Manhattan. This was the first of many New York must on my list!

Must-Have Foods

It may not seem like a big deal but when I travel I want to not only see the sights but eating the foods they are known for. My top three foods to try where coffee, a bagel, and pizza! Finding coffee was easy a busy weekday at six in the morning. After drinking my coffee I adventured to find a scarf and sweater because it was much colder than I had expected. On the way, I found this adorable little bagel shop and it looked busy which meant it was good. Personally I have never had a bagel that good before visiting New York! After more adventuring, it was time for lunch. I decided to do maybe the most basic thing and get pizza out of a window and eat it at Times Square. What foods should I try when I can go again?

New York Sights to See

The top three sights I wanted to see in New York where The Empire State building, a comedy show, and the memorial for 9/11. However, I did pay a little extra to go to the very top of the Empire State building. It was so worth it! What an incredible view to get to see. Comedy is one of my favorite things I love to laugh and seeing a show in NYC was a huge priority for me! Luckily I got to see the show at Comedy Cellar. Comedy Cellar is one of the most popular comedy clubs in the world! It lived up to everything I expected and more! I highly suggest going! One of the hardest parts was leaving flowers at the memorial for the world trade centers. Taking pictures was not my main concern. Paying respect to those who lost their lives that day was my main priority.

Fun Extra's

Along with everything above I got to make a few other stops as well (it was a long day). Getting to see a museum, going to an art exhibit, and even a cookie dough cafe! Before I flew out the next day I got a matcha latte and went to a book store. It was the perfect way to end my trip! New York is a beautiful city and after all this CoVid-19 is done with I recommend going and seeing some of the incredible sights. Stay healthy, stay positive, and don't be an asshole!
